A brief history of
Santh Shri Sevalal Baba
The Spiritual guru of Banjaras, Shri Sevalal Baba was born in Ram Ji Nayak Tanda (Sevagad), at Cherlopalli in Gooty mandal of Anantapur district. His parents Dharmani Yadhi and Ramavath Bhima were very devotional. The devout couple would incessantly pray to Lord Parameshwara and Goddess Parvati, to be blessed with a child.
One day, Goddess Parvati appeared as Goddess Bhavani and presented divine prasadam to Ramavath Bhima Nayak. Goddess instructed him to give the Prasadam to his wife, Dharmani Yaadi who will deliver an adorable boy child, after partaking the Prasadam. Saying so, the Goddess blessed Bhima Nayak and disappeared.
The temple of
Goddess Jagadamba
The resolve of the people from the Banjaras community to build and dedicate a temple to Matha Jagadamba, the most adored deity of Santh Sevalal Baba, was finally realised in the year 2016.
Sri Shankar Pawar from Mumbai donated Rs 10 lakhs with which the construction of the foundation up to basement level for the temple of Matha Jagadamba, was completed.
Subsequently, devotees and donors contributed to the Sevalal Charitable Trust to complete the entire construction. Donated by the Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanam, the idol of Matha Jagadamba was consecrated in this temple in accordance with the Vaishnava ideologies.
On 15 February 2016, the then Tribal Welfare minister of Telangana Ajmera Chandulal inaugurated the temple, following which the temple was open for public.
